Product Description
The worst thing about wearing gloves is losing your dexterity. The Pearl Izumi P.R.O. Softshell Lite Gloves provide you with the warmth you need without taking away that feeling of immediacy required for proper handling of maps, a phone, or snack wrappers. Designed to be non-bulky answers to your cool-weather needs, the palms of the P.R.O. Softshell Lite Gloves are made from Pittards' WR 100X Natural Carbon Leather. This is a particularly supple version of Pittards' leathers. Pittards is a British company that supplies leather for good as various as lady's high fashion footwear and gloves, to military equipment. The leather they supply for the Pearl Izumi gloves resists the absorption of water, either sweat or rain, which keeps your palms dry, light and comfortable at all times. The leather breathes normally, so you won't have clammy hands. Since it has been specially tanned with sweat resistant properties, the palms will not develop that unpleasant hard, cracked feeling that often afflicts heavily used leather goods. Adding to the flexibility of these gloves, the fingers have been anatomically shaped so that you won't have to fight with the form of the fingers to do the things all cyclists must: shifting, breaking, and digging for gel packs in your pockets. They have been designed to fit snugly, so that there won't be any extra fabric extending from the tips of the fingers. That is hazard enough when you are trying to shift, but worse would be bulky, ill-fitting fingers slipping off the brake levers or even getting caught between the brake and shifter paddles. Horror of horrors! You won't be facing any of those troubles with these gloves. Did we forget to mention that they keep your hands warm? Made from P.R.O. Softshell with Cocona fabric, the uppers of these gloves provide you with a wind and water protection that will be certain to keep your paddies toasty warm even in the chilliest weather.
